Organisation Structure_

The Careers Group consists of 37 careers advisers and thirty-six commercial, information and infrastructure staff who are employed by both the University of London and its trading company Senate House Services. There are an additional twenty-five information staff who are employed by the academic institutions in which The Careers Group college-careers services are based and a register of freelance careers advisers who help The Careers Group deliver fully to all their contract specifications.

Institutionally based staff deliver a full careers service within their institution to undergraduates, postgraduates, contract researchers and staff and collaborate together to add value to The Careers Group as a whole.

Confederal activities support the work of the careers staff based in institutions. These include staff training and development, careers education information and guidance services, careers publications, the creation and maintenance of on-line services including vacancy advertising, notification services and e-guidance, the organisation of employer presentations and familiarisation courses on occupational areas, the administration of GradClub - the service for The Careers Group alumni and the collection and collation of research data on usage, quality and the destinations of graduates.

The Careers Group raises revenue to support its activities through the centrally-located Consultancy Division delivering career development activities to organisations, C2 - The Graduate Careers Shop delivering guidance services to individuals; the Professional Development Unit offering training to careers professionals; the Research Unit providing bespoke student research; and the Events Unit creating and delivering the largest most prestigious recruitment and information events in the UK.
